Mosaic Executive Team
Billy co-founded and grew the Energy Action Coalition into the largest youth organization in the world focused on clean energy and climate solutions. Billy developed a proposal to create a Clean Energy Corps to produce 5 million green jobs, which shaped the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), the largest green investment in U.S. history. He has been honored as a Rolling Stone magazine "Climate Hero," an Utne Reader "50 Visionaries Who Are Changing Your World" and was elected as a Fellow by Ashoka, the global association of the world's leading social entrepreneurs. Billy is co-author of Making Good: Finding Meaning, Money & Community in a Changing World (Rodale/Penguin 2012).
Founder/Chief Executive Officer
Dan is a serial entrepreneur with 10 years of experience leading clean energy, green building and energy efficiency companies in rural Native American communities and Israel. He is an Unreasonable Institute fellow and Brower Youth Award winner. In 2012, Dan was recognized as one of the 30 Under 30 in Energy by Forbes Magazine in recognition of his leadership on innovative ways of financing clean energy.
Founder/Chief Financial Officer
Steve has more than 15 years of experience in finance and entrepreneurship. Prior to co-founding Mosaic, Steve co-founded SavvyMoney, an online financial service, and SelectMinds, a provider of talent acquisition and social recruiting software. Steve started his career at Hambrecht & Quist, a technology-focused investment bank, and between entrepreneurial ventures has worked as a consultant to the financial services industry with clients including Schwab and Wells Fargo. Steve graduated from Princeton University in 1995, where he was awarded a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholarship.
Chief Investment Officer
Greg is a twelve-year solar project finance and business development veteran currently focused on building up Mosaic's solar finance activities and offerings. Prior to Mosaic, he was VP of Solar Finance at Union Bank where he placed approximately $200 million worth of bank debt and tax equity investments in solar projects for utilities, government, and schools. Prior to that, he helped start a solar finance company that successfully raised and populated a tax equity fund with Citi. Before that, Greg held various project finance positions at PowerLight and SunPower Corporations where he financed several major industry leading solar projects in the United States. He holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in economics from the University of Pennsylvania.
Chief Technology Officer
Tony brings to Mosaic more than 15 years of experience managing technology and operations for enterprise software and Internet companies. Tony leads Mosaic's product, engineering, and operations functions. Prior to joining Mosaic, Tony served as VP of Engineering at Chegg, where he led multiple engineering teams responsible for building the technology that serviced millions of students and hundreds of millions of dollars of orders annually. Prior to Chegg, he served as VP of Engineering at Cramster, where he built the technology and operations organization through multiple rounds of venture financing until its eventual acquisition by Chegg. Before that, Tony led technology at an enterprise software company, and other Internet startups. Tony holds a B.S. in Biomedical and Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California.
Lisa is an entrepreneur, investor, speaker and author of the bestselling book, The Mesh: Why the Future of Business is Sharing and the chief instigator of Mesh Labs www.meshing.it - (global directory for the sharing economy) She works in the design of new products, policies, services, partnerships and models in which ‘access’ to goods, services and talent triumphs over the ownership of them’. Lisa invests, advises, speaks and writes on the topics of innovation, collaboration and the Share Economy including: cities as platforms, power of peers, shareable business models, building trust in a shared world, the hidden value in waste, and the rise of entrepreneurship.
Bruce Ledesma is a Co-founder and principal of Roble Capital. He has over 20 years of experience as a business executive and corporate lawyer in the financial services and solar industries. Bruce previously served as the Executive Vice President and General Counsel of SunPower Corporation, one of the world's largest solar companies, where he provided leadership and oversight of all legal and regulatory compliance matters globally during SunPower's revenue growth from $250 million to $2.3 billion. Bruce also held various executive positions at Barra Inc. (now MSCI Barra), a global provider of portfolio management tools to the world's largest institutional investment firms and brokerages. Bruce also sits on the board of NEXTracker Inc., a technology equipment provider for utility-scale renewable energy power plants. Bruce holds a BA in Economics from Stanford University and is a graduate of Harvard Law School.
Danny co-founded the leading online residential solar electricity company, Sungevity, in 2007. He was recently named 2011 "Innovator of the Year" by PBS' program, Planet Forward, for providing an innovative, high-impact and commercially viable solution to the world's environmental challenges. He serves on Solar Mosaic's Board of Directors as well as the Solar Foundation and works tirelessly to have sFun (solar for universal need). He is the author of Rooftop Revolution: How Solar Power Can Save our Economy and our Planet from Dirty Energy (Berrett Koehler 2012).
